Made the final 3 patrols on the Gold Crew from 90-91...last patrol was out of Holy Loch, Scotland with the Simon Lake (AS-33). Pulled into Groton after final patrol. Got out after we took the boat from Groton, unloaded weapons in Charleston, played war games in Puerto Rico, went through the Panama Canal, pulled into Hawaii for four days, pulled into San Diego for four days and finally ended up in Bangor. Spent one week in Bangor and got out of the Navy as I understood the boat was planning to be a host ship for a few months before getting cut up.

Joined 617 for DASO after the yards with NAVET. Made patrols out of Charleston and Holy Loch. Was boat's photographer for Gold Crew, so I must have some old pics around here somewhere. Enjoyed the DASO run, including the Cat Futch incident (we were moored behind Finback). Remember the Apple Jack Incident. Also remember firing 2 missiles for OT.
