Stan - great site - awesome job. I only have a couple pics that made it with me all this time - I'll scan & post. Your pics are great - we were such little punks weren't we? To be honest, I only remember you, Liepke, and The Hobbit. Any word from Liepke? Tom Zahn from the Blue crew hooked me up with you. Paul Heins (Zippy) hooked up a bunch of us Bluies so hope to see more guys post pages. Take care - great to hear from you.
Hey Stan, I haven't heard anything from Ken Carmody - I wonder about him too. We have addresses for a bunch of guys - I was sitting in a restaraunt with Paul Heins back in 05 and he gets Capt. Friedman's number somehow and calls him up. Guy is a character still - he found numbers for a lot of guys. I got remarried in 05 - we spent our honeymoon in CT - got to see some old friends. Anyway - take care - I'll be in touch. Tom
Mark Liepke worked for me for a year or so on the sub base. It was quite a shock to see him show up to work one day. I had nothing to do with his hiring, he just showed up to work after the office did the interviews and sent him along.
The picture #11 in your series of pictures (labeled 89) has the unknown person in the foreground...that is Matt Kravitz (sp?) aka Megawatt Matt. He was a first class electrician. Picture #70 (labeled 149) has LT Dan (hollywood) Nordstrom on the far right and Glenn Linton at the bottom, second from the left. Just filling in a few blanks as I recognize them.
Hey Stan, Beer is always good. Need to hookup sometime before UCF football season. Ricky and I got upgraded to lower bowl. Thanks again for hooking me up with this site. Will have to search for some good pics and upload. Later dude...
Stan,
I was only on the Hamilton as far as subs, but I served on the Canopus in Charleston for a couple years and left my mark on alot of subs. I only joined the navy in 77 and got out of sub school in 78
It,s not just the Hamilton, went I went back in as a Seabee it may have been the best nine years of my life.I guess time and age have a way of altering your perspective.Although I don't think I'd be up for sea duty again.
Stan was thinking of catching a UCF game. Wouldn't be until after first week in oct. We are going to Charlottesville and staying in a cabin for a week and will be back in Jax 10/04. Will see what games are available. To bad not playing the Noles.
Do not remember that incident I am truly grateful for the pictures u sent of us at launcher I have almost none after a relationship break back in 1996 that girlfriend got everything and still probably has.
Let me know the price of the tickets. We are going to Virginia and North Carolina for a week , coming back the 4th then the following Saturday we will be in St Pete.
It would be me and my 2 sons, my youngest Joshua is a Miami fan and they had already wanted to go to the game but did not have tickets and would really be grateful to be able to go. Let us know what time the game is and where you would like to meet. looking forward to seeing you again.
That is great! We are really looking forward to it. Just let us know where and what time you want to meet. Joshua wants to know if it will be OK if he wears a Miami shirt, it is his favorite college team.

I've got some pictures I need to scan and put on here. Don't know if I can remember all the guys in the pics.
