Jeff McCullough 2 patrols John Marshall SSBN 611 & 6 Patrols Hamilton 617 gold. Joined Afrog 1981-1984. I remember a story book log that was kept on one patrol where each tech would write a perpetuating story. Who ended up with the book and who remembers the story?

Does anyone remember a quartermaster named Joey Cromwell? I know he used to live in the Torpedo Room bunkroom with us.

Hey Chauncey, Good to hear from you. I think Hugo Klungler is right. Yeah I was into family trees back then but not so much now. Although I have been working on my family's tree since I retired. I loved that picture of the Huge rattlesnake you posted. When I was stationed in Charleston, S.C. a lady found
one caught in her backyard fence about that size. Awesome.

Hi Jim, was that Hugo Klungler?? I remember you had a good memory for family trees too.

At one time in my life I was a TM Launcher Tech. I was a qualified LOS but then
I was gradually phased out of the program and became just a straight TM. There was a Chief MT on board who name escapes me right now as does a lot of things
:D who was a former TM and if he had duty chief on a missile load day I would take it for him and he would do the same for me for a torpedo load since we both knew what was going on.

ULCER also contained a sub system called LETS ( leading edge tracking system ) which worked with 4 transducers which raised out of the deck and measured the curent speed across the muzel of the tube .
